Scientific work JAS

The work of the JAS is an independent scientific research, which is being prepared by a student under the guidance of a teacher for the All-Ukrainian competition of the JuniorAcademy of Sciences. This competition is held every year among tens of thousands of schoolchildren from all over Ukraine. JAS scientific independent work must contain such structural elements as:

• title page, which indicates the topic of the project, the selected section and scientific department, the full name of the teacher and performer, year;
• an abstract of 150 words, which should briefly present the main provisions of the study, the goals and objectives of the work, and also describe what results have been achieved;
• the main component of the work - consists of a plan of the JAS scientific research work, an introduction, several sections and conclusions. The content of the project must correspond to the chosen topic and fully disclose it;
• a list of abbreviations or other symbols;
• a list of used literature in alphabetical order and designed in accordance with the requirements of the state standard;
• applications (pictures, illustrations, graphs) - not needed in all projects, they are used to demonstrate the achieved results.

JAS student scientific work

JAS evaluates scientific work, first of all, according to the following criteria:

• relevance - the board of scientists considers the relevance of the project today, the presence of the author's own position and the argumentation of judgments;
• uniqueness - checked by the program for anti-plagiarism, the recommended percentage of authenticity of the work is 60-70%, depending on the section;
• compliance with the requirements for registration of research papers.
