Defense of the diploma takes place in several stages, so let’s familiarize yourself with them so that you understand that it is not scary and feel confident in yourself:

– All speakers gather at the department or in the office, where the defense will come

– A place is being prepared for the attestation commission, as a rule, the commission consists of five to ten people, headed by the chairman.

– Next, the chairman of the commission welcomes everyone present, announces the procedure and encourages the students

– Student performances begin. (One student is allotted 15-25 minutes for the report, to leave time for additional questions.)

– After listening to each graduate, everyone leaves the office, meanwhile the commission holds a meeting and evaluates the performances.

3. Control yourself and avoid word-parasites;

4. Address the audience;

5. If you are talking about a diagram or graph, show it visually on a slide and explain how it was built and what conclusions you draw;

6. Carefully prepare the text so as not to get confused;

7. Smile;

8. If there is a pause, it is better to remain silent than to use sounds e-e-e;

9. Try to speak loudly and clearly so that you don’t have to listen.
